A resident evangelist and minister who leads the worship and teaching, a board of trustees who run the church's charity and carry its formal responsibilities, and members who volunteer for the rest. There is no head office above any of them — everyone here is answerable to the congregation and to the Scriptures.
Our minister
Kufre Okon
Resident Minister · Chair of the Board of Trustees
Kufre Okon serves the congregation as its resident evangelist and minister. Worship and teaching here are handled by him, and he chairs the church's board of trustees.
He led the first Bible lesson at the congregation's inaugural service on 3 November 2024, and he is the founder and project lead of Doorstep Support, the church's charity. His teaching also goes out on his own channels — MKO TV on YouTube, and TikTok.
The sermon archive carries the minister's teaching, and the study booklets the church publishes — including Kufre Okon's own No Condemnation in Christ Jesus — are free to download.

The trustees carry the congregation's formal responsibilities — its accounts and records, its money and how it is used, and how the church presents itself publicly — and they run its charity, Doorstep Support. They are members of the congregation, and they answer to it.

The congregation is overseen by a plurality of elders, appointed from within it and answerable to the Scriptures that describe their character and work. They teach, they make decisions together, and they carry pastoral responsibility for the whole church. If something matters, they are the people to raise it with.

“Do the work of an evangelist, fulfil your ministry.”
Preaching and teaching the Gospel, publicly and one to one, and training others to do the same. An evangelist here works under the oversight of the elders rather than over the congregation.
Deacons
Deacons
“They must first be tested; then let them serve as deacons.”
Deacons carry specific areas of practical service — the building, hospitality, benevolence, the collection, transport — so that the church's work is done properly and nothing depends on one person remembering.

Alongside the elders and deacons, members take responsibility for particular work: children's and youth classes, safeguarding, outreach, and the accounts. All of it is voluntary and all of it is accountable.

Leadership in a church is a responsibility before it is a position. Elders are held to the character described in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1, and they are accountable to the congregation they serve as well as to God.
Everyone who works with children or adults at risk holds an enhanced DBS check and has completed safeguarding training. Our policy is published, and concerns can be raised with the safeguarding lead or with any elder.
Getting involved
There is always
something to do.
Teaching a class, driving a member to a service, packing parcels on a Saturday, making coffee, fixing the guttering. If you would like to help, say so — there is no waiting list.
