We are a community of Christians gathering in White Hart Lane to worship God, grow through His Word and share the Gospel with our neighbours and beyond.

Welcome

A place to know
Christ and belong.

Preaching Christ, Serving CommunityWe are the Church of Christ, 36 White Hart Lane.

We are an ordinary congregation on an ordinary North London street. Some of us were at the first service in November 2024; others walked through the door for the first time last month. What holds us together is not a programme or a style of music — it is Christ, and the Scriptures that tell us who He is.

When we gather on a Sunday you will find singing, prayer, the Lord's Supper and teaching straight from the Bible. It is plain by design, so that anyone can follow what is happening and take part rather than watch from the back.

If you are looking for a church, or working out whether you believe any of this at all, you are genuinely welcome. Come as you are, ask what you like, and stay for a cup of tea afterwards.

Our minister

Kufre Okon

Resident Minister · Chair of the Board of Trustees

Kufre Okon is our resident evangelist and minister. He leads the worship and teaching of the congregation on a Sunday, chairs the church's board of trustees, and founded Doorstep Support, our charity.

He led the first Bible lesson at our inaugural service on 3 November 2024, and his teaching reaches beyond the room — in recorded lessons here and on his own channels, and in his books and study booklets.

Our life together

A church
in one place.

Worship, teaching, friendship and service — the same congregation, in the same building, week after week. This is what it looks like.

Members gathered around a table laid with a white cloth and a cake in the worship hall, a celebration after the gathering.

Your first visit

What to expect

A Sunday here runs from 11:00 to 13:00. This is the whole of it, in order, with nothing left out.

  1. Come as you are

There is no dress code and no expectations of you. Arrive a few minutes early if you would like a cup of tea first, or slip in just before we start — either is fine. Someone at the door will point you to a seat and answer any question you have.

  2. Worship with us

We sing together, pray, read the Scriptures and share the Lord's Supper, and one of the men preaches from the Bible. Everything is announced as it happens, so you will always know where we are. Nobody will ask you to stand up, speak or introduce yourself.

  3. Stay and connect

Afterwards the kettle goes on and the room stays full for a while. Stay as long or as short a time as you like. If you have questions about anything you heard, there will be people glad to sit down with you — that day or another.

Our mission

Knowing Christ.Growing in faith.Building community.Sharing the Gospel.

Four things, in that order. Everything this congregation does is meant to serve one of them — and the last one is why the first three matter beyond this building.

Who we are

Christians,
nothing more.

We wear the name of Christ rather than the name of a movement, a founder or a denomination. That is not a slogan — it decides what we teach, how we gather and who we answer to.

Each congregation of the churches of Christ governs its own affairs under the oversight of its elders. There is no headquarters and no hierarchy above us. Where the Bible speaks we aim to speak; where it is silent we do not bind what God has not bound.

The congregation held its first service at 36 White Hart Lane on Sunday 3 November 2024, and became a registered charity in August 2026 — with Doorstep Support as its outreach into the streets around the building.

  • We hold to the Bible as God's word and as sufficient.
  • We are Christians only, wearing the name of Christ rather than of any denomination.
  • We gather each Sunday for singing, prayer, teaching, the Lord's Supper and giving.
  • We baptise believers by immersion, as the New Testament instructs.
  • We are governed locally, by elders, with deacons serving and evangelists preaching.

Doorstep
Support

Church of Christ White Hart Lane · Doorstep Support Initiative

We believe everyone deserves dignity, care, and hope — right at their doorstep.

Doorstep Support is the community outreach arm of Church of Christ White Hart Lane, a registered charity. It takes the essentials people choose for themselves — food, toiletries, clothing, school and medical supplies — to the doors of elderly, homeless and vulnerable people and of families in crisis, without queues, shame or waste. It is run by the church's trustees, it is running now, and gifts to it can be made on this website or on the charity's own donation page.

What we do

  • NewFood Bank at White Hart Lane

Every Sunday, 10am – 1pm, from 17 October 2026. About the food bank

  • Food and nutrition

The food a household actually eats, chosen from its own Choice Card.

  • Toiletries and household essentials

The things that run out first and are hardest to ask for.

  • Clothing and footwear

By age and by size, for adults and for children.

  • School support

So that a child's schooling does not stop at the household budget.

  • Medical consumables

Basic first aid and the consumables a household names.

  • Emergency relief

When a household is hit by a bereavement, a job loss, a medical emergency or displacement.

Doorstep Support was founded by Minister Kufre Okon and is run by the church's board of trustees. Meet the trustees
